After Vic Grimmett finished his tour he was posted to Moreton-in-Marsh, and when the war in Europe was finished he flew a group of ground staff over Germany, France and Holland to show them some of the damage.  Although the caption on the photograph indicates that the photo was taken at 2,000 feet, Vic said that they flew much lower than that.
